In the live class, participants will:

Review the material from the Oncology Massage bundle

Practice adapting hands-on techniques using the Walton Pressure Scale

Practice adapting hands-on techniques for lymphedema risk
-
Discuss and practice more hands-on adaptations for the effects of cancer treatment

Review and practice intake skills
-
Participate in a live client clinic where you will provide a complete intake and full session for a person who is in or has a history of cancer treatment
CE Information
This bundle includes the online, on-demand prerequisites (23 CEs) and the in person Oncology Massage workshop (21 CEs) in Albany, NY.
These courses are approved by NCBTMB for a total of 44 CEs. 
In order to be eligible for CE credit, you must register with your full name (as it appears on your professional license) and your license state and number.
PLEASE NOTE: Because we will be working with people affected by cancer we ask all participants to have a current flu shot and COVID vaccination. If you are not vaccinated, you may still participate, but you will be required to wear a mask.
Meet Ericka Clinton, Education Director
Ericka Clinton is a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist. She obtained her license in 1998 after earning a Massage Therapy Diploma from the Swedish Institute. She has been a faculty member and administrator at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City since 2000. As a member of the faculty she has taught practical classes in both Western and Eastern modalities and supervised clinical internships and externships.
Ericka maintains a private practice as a massage therapist, and has worked as a massage therapist for NY Presbyterian Medical Center's Integrative Medicine Program and from 2011-2013 worked at the Bendheim Integrative Medicine Center run by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She currently serves as the President for the Board of Directors for the Society for Oncology Massage.
Ericka received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesthetic Neuroscience in 2015 from Empire State College. She has continued to study various forms of structural and myofascial bodywork. She currently teaches a variety of continuing education courses for Massage Therapists in NY and outside the US. Her courses cover various topics such as oncology massage, Shiatsu, medical massage, anatomy and working with special populations.

Cancellation Policy
Please read CAREFULLY.
The course tuition includes a non-refundable $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel or withdraw from a course 30 days prior to the course start date you will be refunded your full tuition less $50. If you cancel or withdraw from a course fewer than 30 days (but more than one week) prior to the course start date you will be refunded 50% of your tuition. If you cancel or withdraw from a course fewer than 7 days prior to the course start date your tuition will be non-refundable.
In the event of proper documentation of medical emergency, death in the immediate family, or weather prohibiting travel your entire tuition may be allowed to be rolled over to a workshop at a later date. This special consideration will be allowed one time only at the discretion of the instructor.
If a course is cancelled due to low enrollment your tuition will be refunded in full.
