In part one of this three-part course, you will learn 5 tools to build healthier relationships, understand your own emotional states, and foster understanding. 

Part 1 covers the following tools: 

1) Brain Scan Image - Understanding Emotional Activation 

2) Scaling Your Emotions and Taking Timeouts 

3) Processor vs Retreater - How to Avoid the Chase that Escalates Conflict 

4) Banana - File Drawer Metaphor - Understanding How Past Experiences Can Determine Reactions to Present Conditions 

5) Coping Skills Inventory - Building a Nervous System Toolbox
