Human Trafficking (1 CE)
In this course, we discuss the prevalence of human trafficking and what you can do to identify and report trafficking in your community.
This course is listed with the FSMTB CE Registry for 1 CEU for massage therapists.
*Please note: In order to be eligible for CE credit, you must register with your full name (as it appears on your professional license) and your license state and number.
According to the Polaris Project, human trafficking "is widespread but exact numbers are hard to come by. It follows patterns, but every situation is also unique." the exact scope of trafficking activity is hard to come by, but it is clear that trafficking occurs in every type of community.
This course uses FSMTB's 2017 Human Trafficking Task Force Report, interviews with subject matter experts, and discussions of real world examples to show how massage therapists can be a part of the solution.
